Michigan football cracked the top three for another top target along the offensive line, Hardy Watts. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive line prospect included the Wolverines among his finalists along with Wisconsin and Clemson.

Watts has been a top target for Michigan football and is set to be on campus for an official visit next weekend. According to the On3 prediction machine, the Wolverines have a slight edge as the prediction machine gives them a 34 percent chance to land his commitment compared to 29 percent for Clemson and 19 percent for Wisconsin.

Where Michigan football stands with Hardy Watts

Out of Brookline, Massachusetts, Watts is ranked No. 217 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, and ranked as the No. 12 interior offensive lineman for the 2025 class.

Watts will end up taking three official visits. His first was to Clemson on June 2nd. He spent last weekend taking an official visit to Wisconsin. He has also visited Clemson and Michigan unofficially (two visits each).

A Clemson insider for 247 Sports, Austin Hannon, put in a crystal ball projection for the Tigers earlier this week. But that’s been the only expert pick so far. None of the big national experts have weighed in just yet. Watts canceled visits to Duke and Boston College but will head to Ann Arbor for Victors Weekend.

Clemson might have the lead right now but Michigan football will get the final say and it would be hard to say no to Sherrone Moore after the way his offensive lines have performed over the past few seasons.

There’s work to do but this recruitment still feels winnable for the Wolverines.
