The Under Armour Next camp tour stopped in Baltimore on Sunday, and Michigan commit Tariq Boney stood out from the crowd. The three-star EDGE earned himself an invitation to the 2026 Under Armour All-America game, typically taking place in early January.
Tariq Boney stands out at Under Armour Next camp in Baltimore
Listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Boney has enough size to compete at a high level as a young player. He is heading into his senior season at St. John’s College High (Washington DC) and currently holds 29 offers.
Boney chose the Wolverines over Georgia, Penn State, West Virginia and more. He has an official visit with Michigan scheduled for June 20, though he has already been on campus in an unofficial capacity.
Eight Wolverines were invited to the UA All-America game last January, including quarterback Bryce Underwood and linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng. The only player to participate was offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn. The last defensive player to participate in the game was linebacker Jeremiah Beasley in 2024, who is now at Missouri.
Many compare Boney to former dominant EDGE Josaiah Stewart. Should the DMV product sign with the Wolverines, it would be a valuable acquisition.
