This weekend, when Ohio State football (ranked No. 2 with an 11-0 record) and Michigan football (ranked No. 3 with an 11-0 record) face off with their seasons on the line, the Buckeyes are anticipating the return of a major defensive player. First-team All-Big Ten linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, a senior, will reportedly play against the Wolverines on Saturday.

Tomorrow is the day — the one day a year that matters more than any other for Michigan football and Ohio State football. Latest reports state that All-Big Ten linebacker Tommy Eichenberg should be healthy enough to play on Saturday

Ever since Ohio State football earned a gritty win against Rutgers earlier this month, the Buckeyes have been limiting/resting All-Big Ten linebacker Tommy Eichenberg — a senior for the Scarlet and Grey.

Per the latest Ohio State injury reports out of Columbus, Ryan Day said that Tommy Eichenberg could have played against Minnesota last weekend — a game the Buckeyes won 37-3 — yet he was instead rested to ensure he would be good to go against Michigan football this weekend.

Right now, it sounds like that is exactly the case, as the senior defensive star is expected to hit the field and see game action for the second time this month tomorrow.
