Over the weekend, Jim Harbaugh and his Wolverines improved to 4-0 on the year, beginning Big Ten conference play with a 31-7 victory over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. It was a solid outing for the Maize and Blue, and after the game, the 9th-year Michigan football coach was in good spirits. Still, famed college football analyst Paul Finebaum — who is known for his criticism of Harbaugh — took a seemingly random shot at Michigan’s head coach.
Paul Finebaum takes a random shot at Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh
Jim Harbaugh was in great spirits on Saturday after the Wolverines’ 31-7 victory; however, his happy mood was not enough to satisfy Paul Finebaum, who apparently thinks that the Michigan football coach is being too serious.
“I was watching Sports Center earlier, and he (Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh) came on, and my wife said, ‘Why is that guy so mad?’” Paul Finebaum stated, appearing on the Matt Barrie Show. “For a guy that’s making $9 million a year and has one of the best jobs in college football, I don’t understand the angry face all the time. I mean, it’s just Jim. I mean, he’s not being held hostage or something. You don’t have to do this job if you don’t like it. So I recommend to Jim to lighten up. That program made it a couple of weeks without him. Not much different with him and talk about when are they ever going to play a good team? I’m waiting for that one too. There’s a few on the schedule, but it doesn’t seem like we’ve seen Michigan tested at all.”
Nothing new for Finebaum and Harbaugh
Kind of random for Paul Finebaum to call out Jim Harbaugh for being too serious, but at this point, it’s expected from Finebaum. Frankly, Harbaugh can likely do nothing right in his eyes.
