If you’re a fan of due process and allowing an investigation to pan out before jumping to conclusions, then you likely will not enjoy what Purdue head coach Ryan Walters had to say about the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal. With the Boilermakers about to head to Ann Arbor to face the No. 3 Wolverines, Walters had some strong comments directed at Jim Harbaugh and his team leading up to the game.

The Big Ten is currently contemplating what to do with Michigan football amid the sign-stealing scandal; in fact, with coaches and AD jumping on video calls with the conference throughout the week and commissioner Tony Petitti visiting Ann Arbor to meet with U-M President Santa Ono today, there could be a decision made soon.

That said, Purdue head coach Ryan Walters — who is in his first year with the Boilermakers — went public with his thoughts on the Michigan football sign-stealing news this week. According to Walters, the allegations against the Wolverines are “not allegations.” He also added that “it happened” and more.

“It’s unfortunate,” first-year Purdue head coach Ryan Walters said. “And what’s crazy is they aren’t allegations. It happened. There’s video evidence; there are ticket purchases and sales that you can track back. We know for a fact that they were at a number of our games. We’ve had to teach our guys a new language in terms of some signals, and we will operate differently offensively. You might see us in a huddle for the first time this season. It is what it is. But we’re excited to go play, and I think it’ll make for a great story.”

Michigan-Purdue set to kick off tomorrow evening

Michigan football will face Purdue tomorrow evening at 7:30 PM at the Big House in Ann Arbor. Coming off the bye week, tomorrow’s game will be the Wolverines’ final “tune-up” game of the year before heading to No. 11 Penn State next week.
