Through six games of the 2023 season, no player in the country has more rushing touchdowns (12) than Wolverine senior superstar Blake Corum. Corum, who is coming off of a severe knee injury from last fall, has been nothing short of stellar throughout the first half of the season, and recently surpassed two Michigan football legends in all-time rushing touchdowns: Mike Hart (running back, 2004-2007) and Denard Robinson (quarterback, 2009-2012).

Mike Hart is viewed as the most prolific ball carrier in Michigan football history — he holds numerous program records for rushing and is one of the Big Ten’s most iconic running backs of all time. Like Hart, ex-Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is also a fan favorite in Ann Arbor — despite being a QB, Robinson is among the Wolverines top rushers in program history.

Now, with that said, Blake Corum is on the rise right now, recently passing both Hart and Robinson in the program record books for career rushing touchdowns. So far this fall, Corum leads the country in rushing TDs with 12, bringing his career total up to 43 — two more scores than Mike Hart (41) and one more than Denard Robinson (42).

Blake Corum has six more regular-season games, plus a potential Big Ten title game and College Football Playoff/bowl game berth, to accumulate just seven more rushing scores. Right now, Anthony Thomas (1997-2000) holds the Michigan football program record for rushing touchdowns (49), though Blake Corum is closing in fast.
