Today, it was announced that former Michigan basketball star Jett Howard — the son of head coach Juwan Howard and a star from last year’s team — has signed with the Jordan Brand. Howard, who stood out as perhaps the best scorer on the 2022-23 squad last winter, was drafted No. 11 overall in this year’s NBA Draft to the Orlando Magic, where he joins fellow ex-Wolverines such as Franz Wagner and more.

The Jordan Brand is something that Jett Howard is quite familiar with from his days with Michigan basketball. Now, even after taking off the Maize and Blue and donning an NBA uniform, the former Wolverine is back in business with Nike’s iconic Jordan Brand, which just signed four NBA rookies, including Jett Howard.

The four members of the NBA’s 2023 rookie class that signed with Jordan are — Jett Howard (Orlando Magic), Marcus Sasser (Detroit Pistons), Cam Whitmore (Houston Rockets), and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Miami Heat).

All of these future NBA stars will now have Jordan merch and apparel heading into their first year in the big leagues. While Jett Howard is no longer repping the Michigan basketball program, his success at the next level is a sign of life from the Wolverines’ program, which will begin a brand new season early next month.
