Iverson Howard, a highly-touted four-star running back in the 2025 recruiting class is expected to take an official visit to Michigan football according to Adam Friedman of Rivals. Howard was offered by the Wolverines in April of 2023. He’s got 27 offers and is planning visits to Maryland, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Florida State, Penn State, and Rutgers.

4-star running back to visit Michigan football

Out of Gaithersburg, Maryland, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back is ranked 357th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked 30th among running backs and is a four-star recruit. Rutgers and Florida State are the most recent offers. Howard is still early in the process in terms of visits. He’s taken a trip to Michigan football according to On3.com. He’s also visited Wisconsin, Maryland, and Georgia.

While the Michigan football coaching staff is all but finalized under Sherrone Moore, one name we haven’t heard much about is Mike Hart. Yet, it sounds like Howard will be taking an official this spring or summer. There hasn’t been much else happening at the position on the recruiting trail. But now that Moore has his staff in place and the dead period is over, the Wolverines are going to be more active, as they have been in recent weeks.

Michigan did some get less-than-stellar recruiting news over the weekend. Five-star offensive tackle David Sanders eliminated the Wolverines from his top group. Yet, Michigan football made the top 10 for a top-100 wideout (via On3) so it wasn’t all bad. The On3 prediction machine currently has the Wolverines sitting in fourth place in the recruitment of Howard. Maryland has a slight lead but it’s wide open.
