Michigan football recruiting took a hit on Friday as four-star defensive line prospect Nate Marshall flipped his commitment to Auburn, according to Hayes Fawcett.
While Marshall committed to Michigan in April, he did not take official visits until June. He visited the Tigers on the 7th before visiting the Wolverines two weeks later. It is unclear what led to the top-100 prospect’s decommitment, which dropped Sherrone Moore’s 2025 recruiting class from 12th to 14th in 247 Sports‘ rankings.
Michigan will likely look to target another defensive line prospect. The 16-man class includes three defensive linemen: Four-star Jaylen Williams, three-star Bobby Kanka, and three-star Julius Holly.
Nate Marshall appeared excited to join Michigan after the BBQ at The Big House
Nate Marshall was one of 66 prospects on hand for the BBQ at The Big House last month. The weekend long event brought in prospects from the next four recruiting cycles. Following the visit, the defensive lineman appeared excited to join the Michigan Wolverines, stating:
“The visit was great. Vibes are still the same, which was good. Highlight would have to be getting to know the other recruits (and) prospects and getting them on board to be a Michigan Man along with me. The weekend was a fun time. Enjoyed it.” [h/t On3 Sports]
Despite having a strong impression during his time spent with the program, Marshall will no longer play his college football at Michigan. The four-star prospect will instead join the Auburn Tigers, who were the only other program he officially visited. Official site plinko-australia.com
