You can feel the momentum starting to build for Michigan football recruiting. The Wolverines are trending as the favorite for a 2025 cornerback while also in the mix for another.

Spring visits and official visits are being scheduled by recruits, but Michigan football also made the cut list of four-star linebacker Kamar Archie out of New Jersey. At 6-foot-1, 255 pounds, Archie is ranked 235th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. U-M cracked his top six along with Tennessee, Clemson, Rutgers, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.

There aren’t any crystal ball projections yet, but since Tennessee was already in the mix, it stands to reason that Brian Jean-Mary’s presence should only help Michigan football in this recruiting battle. Sherrone Moore paid a visit to him before the dead period so the Wolverines are a legit contender in this recruitment.

4-star wideout to visit Michigan football this spring

Talyn Taylor is one of the top wideouts in the entire 2025 recruiting class. Out of Geneva, Illinois, Taylor, who is 6-foot, 165 pounds, is ranked 110th overall according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 13th-ranked wide receiver.

Michigan is facing some stiff competition for his commitment. Georgia, Ohio State, and Notre Dame are all set to host Taylor this spring too. He’ll take his spring last to Ann Arbor though on April 7th, although Allen Trieu of 247 Sports says UCLA and Ole Miss are on the radar too.

247 Sports has Taylor ranked 34th overall. So the dude is an elite talent and getting him on campus for a spring visit is a good sign. Hopefully, it will lead to an official visit.

With a run-based offense, Michigan football will have its work cut out for it, but it’s a new era with Sherrone Moore in charge and these are two recruits to keep on the radar.
