Today, at noon (ET), No. 3 Michigan football (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) and the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0, 8-0) will do battle at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, MI. Obviously, Saturday’s game will be for all the marbles — a trip to the Big Ten title game, a likely College Football Playoff spot, and a perfect 12-0 record are all on the line for both teams this afternoon. Ahead of “The Game,” ESPN host and famed U-M critic Paul Finebaum turned his negative attention towards University of Michigan President Santa Ono, dubbing him a “complete and total clown” for his defense of Jim Harbaugh and more.
Michigan football and Ohio State ready for clash
Now, I know what a lot of you may be thinking: ‘Who cares what Paul Finebaum, or anyone else at ESPN, thinks?’ Well, as good of a point as that may be, there still are a lot of negative narratives about Michigan football that are floating around out there — narratives that are being pushed out with little-to-no substance on massive networks.
One man that has been pushing the anti-Michigan football narratives more than anyone is ESPN host and SEC Network talking head Paul Finebaum, an avid critic of Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines over the years.
ESPN Host Paul Finebaum takes another massive shot at U-M and President Santa Ono
Ahead of today’s Michigan football-Ohio State game, Paul Finebaum let loose on the 3rd-ranked Wolverines one final time; this time, going after Michigan’s beloved President: Santa Ono.
“(University of Michigan President) Santa Ono is a complete and total clown,” Paul Finebaum said to Tim May ahead of the Michigan football-Ohio State game. “I mean, he ought to go to the game with a clown nose, because I’ve rarely ever seen a college educator — he acted like a blithering idiot. And that’s what happens when you go all in on Jim Harbaugh.”
More shots at Michigan football fans for backing Jim Harbaugh
Not enough to get Michigan football fans riled up today? Well, Paul Finebaum wasn’t taking any chances, so he then went after the Wolverines’ fan base itself.
“I don’t want to open up another scab with Michigan fans, but I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again here: I’ve never seen a more creepier, tone-deaf group of fans in my life,” Finabuem added.
Michigan football has a chance to ruin Paul Finebaum’s weekend later today if it can take down the No. 2 Buckeyes, advancing to the Big Ten title game and more, for the third season in a row.
