Michigan football, Ohio State make top 5 for five-star Jadyn Davis
The Wolverines and Buckeyes are two of five remaining schools in the running for Jadyn Davis.
When it comes to the recruitment of one of the nation’s top quarterbacks, it has been a long and tough process for the Michigan Wolverines. Thus far, it has taken Michigan football many visits and countless hours trying to lock down five-star Jadyn Davis, a quarterback from North Carolina in the 2024 recruiting class. Still, this week has brought Michigan some good news: the Wolverines’ elite 2024 recruiting class is on fire.
Since a kid, I’ve dreamt of this moment…now it’s in God’s hands??…

Five-star Jadyn Davis to announce commitment next week
This week, Michigan football landed four-star running back Jordan Marshall, the top RB in the state of Ohio and the Buckeyes’ top target at RB. The day after Marshall’s commitment, Michigan football landed Ben Roebuck, a 6-foot-7, 340 pound three-star offensive tackle from the OH powerhouse Lakewood St. Edwards. Yesterday, five-star Jadyn Davis, a top 30 overall prospect, announced his top five.
The final five teams for still in the running for five-star Jadyn Davis are: Michigan, Ohio State, Clemson, North Carolina and Tennessee. This is off the heels of a two-day visit to Ann Arbor last weekend. In addition to his final five, Davis stated he will be announcing his college decision next Friday, March 31st, at 1:30 pm (EST) live on SportsCenter.
Davis is the No. 1 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 2 overall QB prospect via 247sports. In a decorated junior season, Davis threw for 221/305, 3,425 yards, 43 TD and 6 INT en route to a 12-1 record and state championship for Providence Day High School. Individually, he won the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year.
Michigan football hot on the 2024 recruiting trail
The Wolverines have held back-to-back to back huge recruiting weekends with elite prospects in the 2024 and 2025 class. Landing Davis would be the crown jewel of the 2024 class and continue this hot streak the Wolverines are on well into the spring period.
Michigan has the 3rd ranked overall class in the 2024 recruiting cycle with nine verbal commits, most of which are four-star recruits.
