Michigan football recruiting is on a tear right now, boasting 17 hard commits and the No. 1 overall class in the composite rankings. Yesterday, the Wolverines earned more good news on the recruiting trail, breaking the top-5 for Elijah Moore, a priority wide receiver target that Michigan hopes to pair with elite five-star QB Jadyn Davis.

The Wolverines are one of the five teams remaining in the recruitment of 2024 priority wide receiver target Elijah Moore, who announced his five finalists yesterday and reportedly has a strong interest in Michigan football.

The remaining teams in Moore’s recruitment are Florida State, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, and Michigan. According to the Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State has the best odds of securing his commitment. However, reports suggest that the Wolverines are in a favorable position, as they have generated significant interest from Moore thus far.

Coming from Good Counsel High School in Maryland, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound wide receiver is a highly sought-after recruit for the Wolverines, who currently have only one wide receiver paired with their five-star quarterback. It is crucial for Michigan football to land more exceptionally talented wideouts, particularly those with a physical presence like Moore, to ensure offensive success in the future.

In a positive sign for the Wolverines, Moore has not yet visited Ann Arbor. If Michigan football recruiting can continue to impress him, especially during his visit to campus, the Wolverines should be well-positioned to add another formidable weapon to their 2024 class.
