Michigan football recently hosted four-star defensive end Dominic Nichols, a major target for the Maize and Blue, on an official visit. The weekend before, Wisconsin made a big push for Nichols and reportedly impressed the young four-star during his visit. The Badgers even earned a new crystal ball, giving them the edge in his recruitment. However, yesterday afternoon, Jim Harbaugh regained the lead by landing two new crystal balls for Nichols, both from well-connected insiders.
Michigan football recruiting steals lead from Wisconsin for major four-star target
Dominic Nichols is a major four-star target for Michigan football in the 2024 recruiting cycle. According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Nichols is a four-star defensive end ranked as the No. 430 recruit in the nation, the No. 29 defensive end in his class, and the No. 14 recruit in the state of Maryland.
Last week, Nichols received a new crystal ball prediction favoring Wisconsin following a successful official visit to Madison. However, this past weekend, Nichols visited Ann Arbor, where Michigan reportedly made a strong impression on the highly sought-after defensive prospect.
After an impressive weekend with the Maize and Blue, which also resulted in two immediate commitments for Michigan, it seems that Jim Harbaugh and his team are once again leading the race for Nichols’ commitment. Two new crystal ball predictions from reputable insiders were placed yesterday, further indicating Michigan’s position as the frontrunner in the recruitment of Dominic Nichols.
This is excellent news for the Wolverines as they aim to secure another significant national recruit in the 2024 cycle. If Nichols were to commit today, he would become Michigan’s 20th recruit in the 2024 class.
