Jordan Marshall is one of the most significant recruits to commit to the Maize and Blue during Jim Harbaugh’s tenure as head coach in Ann Arbor. After two straight victories over the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Wolverines are trending in a positive direction both on and off the football field. Marshall, a four-star Michigan football running back commit, is one of the best players in Ohio, yet opted to play for Jim Harbaugh instead of Ryan Day, despite strong recruiting efforts from the Buckeyes.

Michigan football running back commit ranked in the top 5 nationally

According to MaxPreps, one of the biggest high school sports outlets in the nation, this highly rated four-star Michigan football running back commit is ranked among the top 5 running backs in the entire country. Last year, as a high school junior, Jordan Marshall was Ohio’s Gatorade Player of the Year, establishing himself as one of the top recruits in the state and in the 2024 recruiting class.

According to the recently updated ON3 recruiting rankings, Jordan Marshall is considered one of the top recruits in the nation. He is ranked as the No. 31 player in the 2024 recruiting class, the No. 2 running back in the nation, and the No. 2 player in the state of Ohio.

Additionally, MaxPreps ranks him as the fourth-best running back nationally heading into his final season of high school football. The Maize and Blue are on track to have one of the best recruiting classes the program has ever seen, and as the 2023 season approaches, it may continue to improve. One thing remains certain: Jordan Marshall is a valuable addition for the Wolverines and serves as a cornerstone of Michigan’s current recruiting class.
