The new 2024 recruiting rankings were recently released by the ON3 Network. For an elite pair of Michigan football linebackers in the Wolverines’ 2024 class, Jaden Smith and Cole Sullivan, these new rankings brought a huge jump, going from unranked to being pinned as two of the nation’s top 260 prospects.

Pair of Michigan football linebackers on the rise in newest recruiting rankings

According to the new ON3 recruiting rankings, a pair of Michigan football linebackers in the 2024 class are among the best players in the nation. Jim Harbaugh’s current 2024 recruiting class is looking elite so far, and with this new ranking update, the Wolverines’ class is getting better and better on paper.

The first Michigan football linebacker to rise in the rankings is four-star North Carolina prospect Jaden Smith, a product of West Charlotte High School. According to the newest rankings, Smith went from unranked nationally to No. 248 in his class. He is also ranked as the No. 17 linebacker in the country and the No. 8 player in the state of North Carolina.

In addition to Jaden Smith, fellow Michigan football linebacker commit Cole Sullivan is also on the rise in these new rankings. Sullivan, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound linebacker recruit out of Pittsburgh, PA, is a major four-star linebacker commit for the Maize and Blue in the 2024 cycle. According to ON3’s new rankings, Sullivan went from being unranked nationally to being pinned among the nation’s top 260 recruits.

Currently, Cole Sullivan is ranked as the No. 256 player in the nation, the No. 19 linebacker in his class, and the No. 5 player in the state of Pennsylvania. Both Cole Sullivan and Jaden Smith are great additions to Jim Harbaugh’s current recruiting cycle and should be difference-makers on the football field for the Maize and Blue for years to come.
