ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Maize and Blue are facing massive expectations in 2023, and rightfully so. Over the previous two seasons, the Wolverines have claimed consecutive Big Ten titles and College Football Playoff appearances, establishing themselves among the nation’s elite programs along the way. With less than 50 days until the start of a new season, Michigan football star lineman Trevor Keegan has one clear-cut goal: a national championship.

Many top Wolverines players announced their return to Ann Arbor following Michigan’s narrow loss in the Fiesta Bowl against TCU. One of these players is Trevor Keegan, a star offensive lineman for Michigan football. Keegan has stood out as a key member of the Wolverines’ elite offensive line and has played a major role in the program’s turnaround.

In April, after the Michigan football spring game at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Keegan, along with many other Maize and Blue stars, had the opportunity to outline their goals for the upcoming year. For the Wolverines, who have come close to a title in consecutive years but fell just short, the ultimate objective for the 2023 college football season is the national championship.

“I think the culmination of everyone on the team and the staff, there’s just one goal in mind,” Michigan football star Trevor Keegan said. “And it’s to win a national championship, and I think we’re on a really good trajectory right now.”

With several key players — including Blake Corum, Trevor Keegan, and others — choosing to return to Ann Arbor for the upcoming season, the Wolverines seem primed for a successful year. This is considered Jim Harbaugh’s most talented team (based on expectations) since he took over as head coach of the Michigan football program.

The national media and the fanbase both have high expectations, and anything short of another conference title and a run in the College Football Playoff would be viewed as a disappointment.
