Yesterday, Michigan football transfer lineman LaDarius Henderson addressed the media ahead of the Wolverines’ Big Ten opener this weekend. With some questions still looming along the offensive line, there is a chance that the former Arizona State standout will get some meaningful reps this weekend — speaking of which, Henderson broke down a massive difference from his former PAC-12 home to his new team in Ann Arbor.

Michigan football transfer details key difference from Arizona State

Michigan football fans are some of the best and most passionate in the nation; there is no doubt about it. On the other hand, the same cannot be said for the Arizona State Sun Devils, which is a major difference that LaDarius Henderson pointed out on Tuesday evening. It’s worth noting that this is Henderson’s first season in Ann Arbor after spending the past four years with the Sun Devils.

“How much people actually care about football and Michigan,” Henderson said when asked about the differences since transferring. “People care about Michigan football. At other places, you guys know where I’ve been (Arizona State), I could go around Tempe (AZ), and people don’t really care that much. It’s true. Like, ‘You play for who?’ So it’s like here, people know who you are, people want to see (Michigan football) win, and I love that. These fans are awesome!”

It’s clear that — despite having not started a game for the Maize and Blue just yet — this new Michigan football transfer is quite happy with his new home in Ann Arbor. This weekend, LaDarius Henderson and his fellow Wolverines will take the field for a noon kickoff against Rutgers, the team’s final home game before a Week 5 matchup in Lincoln, NE.
