The NFL Draft is coming up on us pretty soon here, and while the Wolverines are hard at work prepping for another national title run, former Michigan football star Roman Wilson is turning heads at the next level. Recently, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic unveiled his top freaks heading into the draft, and Wilson cracked the top 10 nationally.

Former Michigan football star Roman Wilson is an athletic freak

When it comes to the NFL Draft and what scouts are looking for, the term “athletic freak” is not used often; however, in the case of Roman Wilson, he fits the build perfectly. During his senior year with Michigan, Wilson was JJ McCarthy‘s favorite target and never ceased to drop jaws and turn heads.

All said and done, Wilson caught 48 passes for nearly 800 yards and 12 touchdowns, leading Michigan football to a perfect 15-0 season with a Big Ten title, a Rose Bowl win, and a National Championship.

Another Michigan freak is headed to the NFL Draft

During the Senior Bowl, Roman Wilson burst onto the scene with scouts nationally, and now, he has been dubbed a “freak” by one of the top analysts in all of college football: Bruce Feldman. In fact, of the 25 players that Feldman ranked in his latest article, Wilson comes in among the country’s best players, ranking at No. 6 nationally.

Also ranked in the top 10 on the freaks list is former Michigan football star defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, who graces the list at No. 10 in the country.

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and these Wolverines are becoming major names to watch at the right time.
