The commitment of five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis has proven to be one of the best for Michigan’s 2024 class. Not only is Davis an elite prospect, but he’s also been an elite recruiter for the Wolverines. The 2024 Michigan football recruiting class currently sits at No.1 and is still far from being done. Now, continuing the momentum, Channing Goodwin, a four-star teammate of Jadyn Davis, announced his top-seven with Michigan football very much in the mix.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that people want to be a part of what Michigan football is doing. The Wolverines currently sit at No. 1 in recruiting for the 2024 cycle and have significant momentum. Just yesterday, the Wolverines received two more four-star commitments. Now, a teammate of Michigan’s five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis appears to be considering the Wolverines. Four-star teammate of Jadyn Davis includes Michigan in top-seven

Goodwin, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound prospect out of North Carolina, is listed as a four-star prospect per 247 Sports. He’s listed as the No. 241 player in the country and the No. 38 wide receiver. Even more, if he is to choose Michigan football recruiting, he already has a connection with the Wolverines’ future starting quarterback.

Connections like that go a long way in today’s game. Just think about duos like Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, who have been playing together since college at LSU. If Goodwin ultimately chooses the Wolverines, he’ll have an automatic advantage. Not to mention, he’s a three-sport athlete with elite athleticism.

Could Goodwin be a part of a three-player package deal?

We already know all about Jadyn Davis and how elite he is. With the addition of Channing Goodwin, this would be a second player from Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC. Is it possible that the Wolverines could snag a third from the same school?

Jordan Shipp, another four-star wide receiver prospect from Providence Day, is also considering attending the University of Michigan. If the Wolverines can gain the commitment of all three players, it could do wonders for an already elite 2024 class. Not to mention, it could help to round out an already elite offensive class.

Goodwin is currently viewed as a Michigan football lean, as all four crystal ball predictions have him heading to Ann Arbor. There’s something special brewing with Michigan football, and people want to be a part of it. The future is bright for the Wolverines, and with a commitment from Channing Goodwin, it could be even brighter.
