National Signing Day has arrived, and Michigan football moved up to No. 6 in the 2025 class, per On3. The Wolverines added their 24th recruit on Wednesday with the signature of borderline five-star OT Ty Haywood.

With the class set, it’s time to project who could contribute as a freshman next season.

New: Michigan football lands 2025 five-star OT Ty Haywood

It’s no secret that five-star No. 1 recruit quarterback Bryce Underwood should have the biggest impact. The dual-threat signal-caller is coming in as the program’s highest rated recruit of all time, and he earned the first ever 100 player rating from On3. Not only is Underwood expected to help on the field, but highly touted recruits have shown interest in playing with him.

Five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola could be a staple on the end of the line for years to come. Babalola is ranked as the No. 3 OT in the country with a player rating of 97.84 (On3 Industry Rankings). Haywood could also see some action early, and he could even move inside to guard.

It’s also possible that wide receivers Andrew Marsh, Jacob Washington and Jamar Browder have a chance to see the field, given Michigan’s lack of production at the position. All three give the Wolverines more size.

On the defensive side, Michigan brought in five defensive backs with loads of potential: safety Elijah Dotson, cornerback Shamari Earls, cornerback Jayden Sanders, safety Kainoa Winston and safety Jordan Young. They’re all four-star recruits, and any one of them could end up producing as a freshman. Dotson, Earls and Winston are perhaps most likely to see the field early.
