Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines are currently preparing for their third straight College Football Playoff appearance in hopes of breaking a streak of bowl game losses. This New Year’s Day, Michigan football will take on No. 4 Alabama in the Rose Bowl for a chance to play for a national title. The last time Michigan football played in the Rose Bowl was back in 2007, and players are stoked to be playing in such a historic bowl game. Most recently, rising Michigan football star Alex Orji showed off the new gear that players will have ahead of this year’s Rose Bowl.
Rising Michigan football star Alex Orji displays new gear for Rose Bowl
Alex Orji has been a bit of a wildcard for the Michigan football depth chart. Orji competed for the backup quarterback position earlier this season but lost out to graduate transfer Jack Tuttle. Still, Orji has become a fan favorite and sees some game action in a wildcat-like role with designed QB-run plays.
Orji recently went to TikTok to show off the new gear that Wolverine players will be repping ahead of this year’s Rose Bowl. The Wolverines will be repping the block M in style, as evidenced by the video below.
In just eight days, Michigan will need to prove its No. 1 ranking in a crucial College Football Playoff game against a tough Alabama team. Kickoff in Pasadena is set for 5 PM EST.
