The Michigan football sign-stealing scandal is drawing reactions and hot takes from all analysts, players, coaches, and media members right now. While we still do not have all of the facts, it appears that the Wolverines could be getting into some hot water with the NCAA over this alleged spying ring, which has headlined the college football news cycle for over a week now. Recently, ex-Indiapolis Colts star and former interim head coach Jeff Saturday, who is known as one of the best to ever play the game, chimed in and sided with the Wolverines.

Another analyst sides with Michigan football amid scandal

This week, analyst Colin Cowherd sided with Michigan football amid the sign-stealing scandal — yesterday, he was joined by Colts legend Jeff Saturday.

“This thing (the sign-stealing scandal) has gotten ridiculous — we all played this game for a long time,” Jeff Saturday said on ‘Get Up.’ “Every team is stealing signs, (or) trying to. And every team is trying to steal checks. They’re listening to TV copies about how quarterbacks are audibling in the meeting room. All of this information, you’re trying to gather.

“You understand, as a football player, it’s happening, and every team is doing it. So, one team (Michigan football) is getting singled out. It’s just nonsense.”

Jeff Saturday agrees with Deion Sanders’ take

Saturday also pointed out what Deion Sanders said earlier this week. The short version of Sanders’ take is that even if you know what is coming, football is a physical game, and you still need to stop what is happening.

“What (Deion Sanders) is saying is true — it is a game about physicality. It doesn’t matter what you know — it’s can you stop it and can you execute it? We’re all trying to look at DBs, seeing what codes they’re giving each other so we know where the blitz is coming from. ‘Louisville,’ ‘Roger,’ we know he’s trying to go one direction or the other. The way this thing has taken a life of its own is absolutely ridiculous.”

So, while the media is all over in its takes on Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal, the Wolverines have some support from yet another football legend.
