Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh has his Wolverines sitting at 13-0 heading into the Rose Bowl game, including wins over Penn State, Ohio State, and Iowa (Big Ten title game). That said, when the 2023 season comes to a close, college football insider Bruce Feldman thinks that Harbaugh will be eying some NFL jobs.

Could Michigan football coach entertain NFL offers after the 2023 season?

Under Jim Harbaugh, Michigan football has ascended to a level that fans have not seen in decades — the Wolverines are 38-3 over the past three seasons, including three straight Big Ten titles, CFP appearances, wins over Ohio State, and more.

Still, with the Connor Stalions investigation, changes throughout the sport (such as the portal, NIL, etc.), and more, there are doubts that Jim Harbaugh wants to stay at the college level next fall.

Bruce Feldman thinks that Jim Harbaugh will entertain NFL offers

According to college football insider Bruce Feldman (FOX/The Athletic), he thinks that the 9th-year Michigan football coach will elect to entertain some NFL offers following the Wolverines’ College Football Playoff run this season.

“I would think Jim Harbaugh is entertaining offers from the NFL. (If Michigan football wins the national title) I think he’s done,” Bruce Feldman explained on The Rich Eisen Show. “I think he’s definitely going to the NFL. If he does (win a national title at Michigan), mission accomplished. ‘I have never won a Super Bowl. My brother’s won a Super Bowl. I never won. I came close.’ I mean, do you think if he wins a national title, he’s staying there forever?

“Michigan can’t give him, I don’t think, what he most wants, which is (a Super Bowl),” Feldman added. “Far be it for me to say this because it’s not my money, but if Michigan is gonna pay him $10 million or $12 million, is it really that big of a difference?”

All is speculation right now — Harbaugh’s future will be clearer after Michigan football CFP run ends

A few insiders have shared this belief, though it also sounds like Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh are very happy with their current pairing despite the investigations and circumstances. That said, after flirting with the NFL two years in a row and a lot of valuable jobs opening, it sounds like there is a chance that Jim Harbaugh eyes potential openings once the 2023 season comes to an end.

For now, this is all just speculation for the time being; in fact, I doubt that Harbaugh himself is even thinking about any of this yet, especially since his team is about to face Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
