Against Iowa in the Big Ten title game, the now-No. 1 Wolverines (13-0, Big Ten Champions) got roped into an Iowa-style football game, which consisted largely of punting, long field goals, and stout defense. Still, all said and done, U-M won its third straight title by a score of 26-0 over the No. 16 Hawkeyes. One major part of the game was a massive punt return from Michigan football freshman star Semaj Morgan, which resulted in a short Blake Corum touchdown run, giving Michigan an early 10-0 lead. Now, a few days after Michigan’s big win, a new NIL deal has been announced for Morgan to commemorate his incredible play.

New NIL deal for Michigan football freshman star Semaj Morgan

The M Den has been releasing signed Michigan football trading cards for specific players after every game of the 2023 season — it’s all a part of an NIL partnership called the “Michigan Moments” series. Seeing as Semaj Morgan had arguably the biggest play of the game against Iowa with the Big Ten title on the line, the latest NIL deal with the M Den is for Morgan.

On sale at the M Den now is a new line of Michigan Moments cards featuring a photo of Semaj Morgan’s punt return with an exclusive autograph to commemorate the play (below). There are only 100 of these cards available right now, so quantity is quite limited.

Throughout the 2023 season, Semaj Morgan has emerged as a rising star for the Wolverines. From incredible punt returns to electric jet sweeps, downfield catches, and screen plays, it’s clear that No. 82 will be something special for the Maize and Blue in the years to come.
