Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards, an elite Michigan football duo, are some of the best offensive weapons in the nation. Ahead of the 2023 college football season, which contains national title-caliber expectations for the Maize and Blue, this elite duo of ball carriers has been ranked 2nd in the game.

Michigan football duo ranked 2nd in college football

Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards make up an elite Michigan football duo, perhaps one of the best in program history. This fall, both rushers will be fully healthy for the first time in over a year, and both are set on bringing a national title back to Ann Arbor.

When it comes to college football duos, these Wolverines are ranked No. 2 in the sport, only behind Ohio State wide receiver duo Emeka Egbuka and Marvin Harrison Jr. If the Wolverines are to repeat as Big Ten champions, perhaps even pushing for a national title this year, Corum and Edwards must step into a bigger and better role with the Maize and Blue down the stretch.

247’s take; why No. 2?

“With two of college football’s most electric running backs lining up in the same offense,” said Carter Bahns of 247 Sports. “It is no surprise that CBS Sports tabbed Michigan’s stable of ballcarriers as the nation’s best group for 2023.

“A knee injury cut short a terrific junior campaign for first-stringer Blake Corum, whose 1,463 yards last year rank eighth in program single-season history while his 18 touchdowns are tied for the Wolverines’ third-most. In Corum’s absence, Donovan Edwards saw his role increase and immediately took advantage of the uptick in carries, rushing for 216 yards and two touchdowns in Michigan’s rivalry win over Ohio State. He averaged 7.1 yards per carry on the year.”
