Last weekend, ex-Michigan football quarterback Joe Milton led his new team, the Tennessee Volunteers, to a 41-20 victory over South Carolina — a game that not only busted my parlay but also turned heads nationally, pinning the Vols as a national threat once again despite dropping an ugly game at Florida. After the game, the former Wolverine starter inked a new exclusive NIL deal with famed trading card company Panini America.
Ex-Michigan football quarterback inks exclusive deal
Joe Milton has been playing sound football on the field so far this fall, though more notable, he has been singing all kinds of brand-new NIL deals. On top of his existing deals with real estate agencies, McDonald’s, and more, the ex-Michigan football quarterback now has a Panini trading card, which was launched on Thursday at 3:00 PM.
“Joe (Milton) is a great player and an outstanding addition to our talented athlete roster,” Jason Howarth, Panini America’s senior vice president of marketing and athlete relations, said in a statement on the new NIL deal. “We are excited to be working with him and offering his autograph trading cards and memorabilia to fans.”
Joe Milton is doing well with Tennessee
So far this season, the former Michigan football quarterback has been doing well for himself — his Tennessee Volunteers are 4-1 right now and are coming off of a huge win. While some of the same concerns from his days in Ann Arbor — such as accuracy and decision-making — still linger, he seems to be improving quite a bit from what we saw in 2020.
On the year, Joe Milton has completed 63% of his passes for 1,164 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions. His QBR of 56.6 ranks 70th nationally heading into Week 6.
