For the first time since transferring to Tennessee football a few seasons ago, former Michigan football quarterback Joe Milton — who started for the Wolverines in 2020 — has earned a starting role in SEC country. With the 2023 season underway, a new NIL deal was recently announced for Milton, who is listed among this year’s top NFL Draft prospects and Heisman Trophy contenders right now.

This week, former Michigan football quarterback Joe Milton inked a new NIL deal — one that is bigger than most recent deals seen across the nation. The ex-Wolverine and current Tennessee football star inked an NIL deal with Hometown Realty in Knoxville, TN. He recently starred in a commercial for the Tennesse real estate group as a part of a campaign labeled ‘Go Deep.’ The dollar amount for this deal remains undisclosed; below is the commercial that Milton is featured in.

Joe Milton off to a hot start with Tennessee football

Last weekend, Joe Milton got his first start since the Vols’ Orange Bowl win at the end of the 2022 season. In his first regular-season start during his days with Michigan football, Milton led Tennessee football to a solid 49-13 victory over Virginia (ACC) — he completed 21 of his 30 passes for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns during the Volunteers’ season-opening victory.

While his days with Michigan football were less than impressive — to say the least — Joe Milton is looking good and could quickly find himself as one of the nation’s top draft prospects next year. His talent was never in question at Michigan, but his ability to manage throws and make smart choices with the football was an ongoing issue. For the time being, it appears that things are going better for Milton in SEC country.
