To end the month of March, Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan Wolverines landed the crown jewel of their 2024 recruiting class. Five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis — who is ranked as the No. 2 QB in the class — will be in the Maize and Blue in 2024, and according to new reports, he is already going after Ohio State commits in an attempt to sway them to Michigan football.
Report indicates that five-star Jadyn Davis is recruiting Ohio State commits to Michigan football
Recently, on the 247 Sports recruiting show, Michigan recruiting insider Sam Webb had a lot to say about Jadyn Davis’s commitment and what it means for Michigan football. One of the most notable things that Webb reported was the the Wolverines’ newest commit in the 2024 recruiting class is already hard at work helping Michigan football recruit. In fact, according to Webb, Davis is going after Ohio State commits in an attempt to sway them to Ann Arbor.
“It’s a Titanic land for Michigan,” Webb said on Michigan football landing Jadyn Davis. “He actually [committed] back in November, but kept it silent until now — now the recruiting effort that he was putting forth behind the scenes, he can bring to the [forefront] and do it publicly … this is the start of a domino effect in [Michigan’s] 2024 recruiting class.”
Webb continued, “He’s taking his cues from JJ McCarthy, who did the same thing — JJ McCarthy kept that 2021 recruiting class together … I mean [Jadyn Davis] has big, big dreams. He said he is going to go after Buckeye commits now too … he is really looking to take it to another level.”
Like McCarthy did before him, Jadyn Davis is the glue that is holding the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class together, and if everything plays out like the insiders believe it will, Michigan’s newest commit could help sway some Ohio State commits out of Columbus and onto Jim Harbaugh’s roster in the coming year.
