John Harbaugh has his own team to worry about — the Baltimore Ravens — but that did not stop a reporter from asking him about his brother Jim Harbaugh, who is in the middle of the Michigan football scandal and sign-stealing allegations. In response, Harbaugh revealed that he is proud of his brother’s perseverance and the fact that nothing has been found on him no matter how hard investigators look.

John Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh are two legendary head coaches; in fact, the Harbaugh brothers coached against one another in the Super Bowl a few years back, when John and his Baltimore Ravens won it all despite Jim’s best efforts.

Now, Jim Harbaugh is leading the Michigan football program, which is 10-0 overall (7-0 Big Ten) despite the sign-stealing allegations and more that have engulfed the team’s media presence. Today, John Harbaugh took some time to explain how proud he is of Jim Harbaugh, confirming with the media that — no matter how hard anyone has looked — nothing dirty has been found against the Wolverines’ head coach.

“(Jim Harbaugh’s) phones, his computers, and all that stuff have been looked at, and he’s come through this thing with flying colors,” John Harbaugh said on Tuesday, per Morgan Adsit. “I don’t know what they are trying to get, but they don’t have anything of substance, and I just think I’m proud of him. I think it’s a real compliment to our family and to him, something for us to be proud of.”

Despite passing “with flying colors,” Jim Harbaugh still suspended by the Big Ten

Even though the sign-stealing investigation has turned up nothing against Jim Harbaugh just yet, the ninth-year Michigan football head coach has still been suspended by the Big Ten Conference — from the sidelines, at least. This Friday, the University of Michigan will face the Big Ten in court in hopes of getting a TRO that will allow Harbaugh back on the sidelines this weekend against Maryland and next weekend against Ohio State.
