Latest Buzz For New Michigan Football Quarterback

PASADENA — Not long before the Rose Bowl, Michigan football quarterback Jadyn Davis put pen to paper and made his commitment to the Wolverines official. Now, heading into the playoff, Davis is practicing with the team, prompting Jim Harbaugh to explain what makes the four-star QB commit stand out so much.

We’ve had a lot of intel on Michigan football quarterback Jadyn Davis as of late, especially since the soon-to-be freshman QB made the trip to LA to practice with the Wolverines for the Rose Bowl. So far, Davis has looked great in practice, and on Saturday, he earned some new praise from Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.

“(Jadyn Davis) is a two-time Mr. Football in North Carolina,” Jim Harbaugh said, talking about his new QB. “The thing that’s — we can talk a lot about what already happened, but the latest is being able to watch him on the field and get to coach him.

“The thing that is sticking out is like one book — you give him a coaching point — like I’ve given him four now since he’s been here, and he gets it immediately. It is the next rep — he’s doing it exactly how I just explained it. Just the intelligence, the athleticism it takes to do that I’ve found is rare, that you have that — you can understand something, and then athletically be able to just repeat — just go do it, as opposed to many reps, much time on task.

“He’s got the ability to visualize what you’re saying and then athletic enough to immediately replicate it. That’s special. That’s something I’ve noticed immediately.”

Harbaugh excited to coach Jadyn Davis

This next quote really stands out for the Michigan football program ahead of the offseason. Harbaugh, who will likely have to make yet another NFL decision in the coming winter, said that he’s excited to coach Davis, who is currently the No. 7 QB in the 2024 composite rankings.

“(Jadyn Davis) is a great guy,” Harbaugh said. “(I’m) so excited to coach him.”

Only time will tell, but expectations are high for the new Michigan football quarterback, and it sounds like Jim Harbaugh plans on coaching him up — for the time being, at least.
