During Week 12 of the 2022 season, Heisman-contending running back Blake Corum went down just before halftime in a game that the Wolverines went on to narrowly win, 19-17. Since then, Corum’s top priority has been getting healthy for his final season in the Maize and Blue. According to the latest Michigan football injury update out of fall camp, Corum reportedly “has his groove back,” according to Sherrone Moore.
Latest Michigan football injury update with Blake Corum bodes well for the Wolverines
On Thursday, Michigan football coordinators Sherrone Moore and Jesse Minter both addressed the media for the first time since the start of fall camp in early August. There, first-year full-time offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore had a chance to break down some of the progress from Blake Corum thus far during fall ball.
“(Blake Corum) is phenomenal,” Sherrone Moore said. “Blake has been phenomenal. This offseason, he just worked, worked and worked and worked, and now he’s at the point where it feels like he’s back. You know, yesterday, he made comments (to Moore), and he feels like he’s got his groove back.
“Just excited to watch him and Dono and just watch them spread their wings and continue to do what they’ve been doing in training camp,” Moore continued, “because they’re both feeling really good, they’re feeling healthy; obviously, we’re gonna make sure that they’re all the way through and ready to go, which I feel like they are now so we’re just gonna keep taking it day by day.”
With this dynamic duo of running backs healthy and ready to go, this year’s Michigan football offense has the potential to be the best that fans have ever seen.
