Recently, it was announced that ex-Michigan basketball star Hunter Dickinson, a center for the Wolverines from 2020-2023, has inked a new major NIL deal. The former Wolverine star, who is now with the Kansas Jayhawks, is newly partnered with Adidas, according to an Instagram post from last week.

Major NIL news for ex-Michigan basketball star

Hunter Dickinson made no effort to hide the fact that a lack of NIL revenue played a large role in his choice to transfer out of the Michigan basketball program. Additionally, he likely wanted to play for a winner, and this winter, Kansas has a shot at winning it all.

Last week, the former Wolverine announced a new NIL deal with Adidas, a brand that needs no introduction due to its prominence in shoes and clothing. His post is below.

During his three years with Michigan basketball, Hunter Dickinson shot 57% from the floor (36% from 3-point range), averaging 17.2 points per game, 1.6 assists per game, and 8.4 rebounds per game. He was a key part of Juwan Howard’s Big Ten title-winning team in 2020-21, his Sweet Sixteen team the year after, and even last year’s NIT team.

Since leaving Michigan basketball, Hunter Dickinson has definitely not made Michigan fans happy with some of his comments about the program; however, he insists that he still holds a lot of love for the University of Michigan and the town of Ann Arbor.

This winter, for the first time in his college career, Dickinson will suit up in colors other than the Maize and Blue as he looks for a Big 12 title and more with Kansas.
