Today, the Michigan football program released the three Wolverine stars who will be accompanying head coach Jim Harbaugh for Big Ten Media Day at the end of this month.

3 Michigan football players will attend Big Ten media day later this month

The top Michigan football player heading to Indy later this month for Big Ten Media Day is senior running back Blake Corum. The Wolverine star nearly rushed his way into the record books last year despite an injury 10.5 games into the season. Although Corum missed Michigan’s top three games — Ohio State, the Big Ten title game, and the Fiesta Bowl — he still managed to compile nearly 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

In addition to Blake Corum, senior defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, who will have a much larger role in 2023 than in the past, will also be making the trip later this month. He will be relied upon as a leader of this season’s defense and is expected to be an impact player for the Wolverines in the middle of the defensive line.

The final Wolverine making the trip to Indy is standout cornerback Mike Sainristril, who was converted to a defensive back after starting his career as a wide receiver for Michigan a few years ago. Last year, he shone as one of the Big Ten’s most athletic defensive backs and will play a key role in Michigan’s defensive secondary this fall.
