Today, we had a chance to hear from Wolverine offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore during his weekly media availability ahead of this weekend’s bout against Michigan State. There, the second-year play-caller delved into Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh and what makes him so special. According to Moore, who has spent a lot of time around Harbaugh for many years, the Wolverines’ head coach is hilarious.

According to Sherrone Moore, Jim Harbaugh is a fun guy to be around — this sentiment seems to be shared among everyone who knows and works closely with Harbaugh.

“He (Jim Harbaugh) is great to be around,” Moore said on Wednesday. “Obviously, when it comes to football, serious about football — he is serious about winning. But he’s just like anybody else, cracks jokes. He likes he likes to hear jokes. So he’s as funny as the next guy — I love him.”

Sherrone Moore comments on Harbaughisms

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh is known for his sayings, which, since he arrived in Ann Arbor nine seasons ago, have been dubbed “Harbaughisms.” Sherrone Moore had a chance to talk about these funny — sometimes seemingly random — sayings from Harbaugh.

“He has always had the sayings,” Moore said. “I think he’s probably open to saying a little bit more now (than when he was first hired by Michigan football). But I mean, he’s been the same. And I mean, again, I’ve said it on record, I’m just blessed to be here with him, and learn from him and be around him. He’s a wonderful man, a phenomenal coach, a phenomenal father, a phenomenal husband, and just excited I get to learn from him and continue to do so.”

Moore also says that, despite all of his years with Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football, he doesn’t have a favorite Harbaughism.

“I mean, there’s so many, there’s not really one (favorite),” the Wolverines’ veteran play-caller said. “There is always a new one every day. So I just try to absorb them all in and keep them in a think box for later. So not any in particular.”
