Today, a new preseason All-Big Ten offense was released via Pro Football Focus. Among the conference’s 11 best offensive players are four Michigan football players, further establishing the Maize and Blue as the premier program in the Big Ten — the next-closest teams are Wisconsin and Ohio State, both having two players listed.

Michigan football has most first-team preseason All-Big Ten selections on offense

JJ McCarthy: JJ McCarthy is the first Michigan football player named to Pro Football Focus’s first-team preseason All-Big Ten offense. McCarthy is entering his second season as the Wolverines’ full-time starting quarterback. As a sophomore, he led the Maize and Blue to their winningest season ever, finishing with a remarkable 13-1 record.

Blake Corum: The second Michigan football player on the list is superstar running back Blake Corum, who came close to being a Heisman Trophy contender during his junior year in Ann Arbor last season. After recovering from a knee injury, Corum is determined to make his mark in the Michigan record books this year, potentially leading his team to a national title.

Zak Zinter: Zak Zinter plays a crucial role on the Michigan football offensive line. He has been instrumental in the Wolverines’ two consecutive Joe Moore Awards and Big Ten titles in recent years. With Zinter returning to Ann Arbor this season, the Maize and Blue offense appears to be in excellent hands.

Drake Nugent: The final Wolverine on the list is Drake Nugent, a new transfer addition from Stanford who plays as a center. Nugent’s presence is vital for Michigan football, especially after losing former center Olu Oluwaitimi to the NFL Draft. Nugent is expected to play a critical role for Michigan this season and could contribute to the team’s pursuit of a national title.
