This week, it was announced that the NCAA will be launching an investigation into the Wolverines for illegal sign-stealing methods. Right now, the Maize and Blue lead the Michigan State Spartans 28-0 at halftime, and while MSU has been less-than-impressive offensively, the Spartans made a key change on offense due to the Michigan football investigation news.

The Michigan State offense is yet to score a point today; in fact, the Spartans have 51 total yards right now and trail Michigan football by 28 at halftime. That said, MSU’s offense is still not taking any chances with Michigan’s defense — Michigan State is using verbal signals with freshman quarterback Katin Houser this evening.

While there is still no evidence of wrongdoing yet, the Michigan football program has been cast in a negative light due to alleged illegal sign-stealing methods. These rumors have turned into a full NCAA investigation into Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines and is the second active investigation into Michigan, joining “Burgergate.”

Due to the news of this investigation into Connor Stalions‘ methods, the Michigan State offense is not using signal cards today — instead, a player verbally gives Houser the play caller between downs.
