ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Today marks the beginning of the college football calendar for Michigan Wolverines fans. Right now, the Michigan football team is taking the field for the annual spring game at the Big House in Ann Arbor, and will compete in a Maize vs. Blue game, which will serve as the fans’ first look at the 2023 Michigan squad. According to Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, the 2023 Michigan football team is the best team that he has coached the this point.
Jim Harbaugh has high praise for Michigan football ahead of the spring game
According to the Wolverines’ head man himself, this is the best team that Jim Harbaugh has coached to this point. After winning back-to-back Big Ten titles, making the College Football Playoff twice, and more, there are some massive expectations for Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football program this fall. According to much of the national media (and many players), this year is national title of bust for the boys in blue.
Michigan football returns much of its production (over 80%) from last year’s 13-1 team. Additionally, the Wolverines are bringing in one of the most-talented transfer classes in the country, have a new and improved offensive line (somehow), a solid defense, and most importantly, Michigan retains much of its important coaching staff. For the first time in a very long time, the Wolverines are heading into a season favored against Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State, and for the first time since the early 1990s, Michigan football could win a third Big Ten title in a row.
The offseason hype increased today ahead of Michigan’s spring game, when Jim Harbaugh claimed that this is his best team ever to this point. He did not promise that it would be his best team ever, but to this point in the spring, he has not had a better Michigan football team.
