On Friday evening, just hours before the Wolverines faced a top-10 Penn State team in the toughest environment in the sport, the Big Ten Conference announced that 9th-year head coach Jim Harbaugh would not be allowed to coach against the Nittany Lions. Still, Michigan crushed PSU 24-15 in their own building, which had Michigan football legend and FOX analyst Charles Woodson hyped after the game.

Michigan football legend thinks the Big Ten Conference should move on

Charles Woodson is all-in on his alma mater and its head coach, Jim Harbaugh, following the Wolverines’ 9-point win over No. 10 Penn State on Saturday. According to Woodson, if this comes down to Stalions taping sidelines, it’s time to just move on and play some football.

“They can only say, okay, this guy was in the stands with people, doing video tapes with iPhones — there’s going to be 100,000 people in the stands today with iPhones, right? Anybody can video tape signs,” Charles Woodson said.

Michigan football had an elite performance against Penn State over the weekend, boosting the Wolverines’ season record to 10-0 (7-0 Big Ten) heading into next weekend’s game at Maryland. After Michigan’s impressive showing, perhaps no fan was more hyped than Charles Woodson, who donned a “Michigan vs. Everybody” shirt live on air following the Penn State win. If that was not enough to upset the Big Ten Conference, Woodson went on to publicly back Jim Harbaugh and more.

“In my humble opinion, I do not believe that Harbaugh knew what this young man was doing,” the Michigan football legend explained. “Now, was there someone on the staff who Stalions was talking to that knew and was maybe taking some of these signs? I don’t know that, and I can’t say it with certainty, and the NCAA didn’t say it with certainty, and Tony Petitti didn’t say it with certainty. So nobody can say that Harbaugh knew.”

So far so good for the Maize and Blue

Next weekend, we are positive that Charles Woodson will be watching closely as Michigan faces a 6-4 Maryland team, which is likely quite motivated following its nail-biting 13-10 win over Nebraska this weekend. If the Wolverines can pick up another win, they will head into ‘The Game’ against No. 1 Ohio State with an 11-0 record for the second season in a row.
