Throughout the week, Penn State fans and coaches — as well as others on social media and in the national media — were trolling the No. 3 Wolverines over ‘sign-gate.’ Today, without Jim Harbaugh, Connor Stalions, and more, U-M walked into Beaver Stadium and crushed the Nittany Lions 24-15. During the win, as the Wolverines continued to pile onto their lead, Michigan football stars Blake Corum and JJ McCarthy mocked Penn State’s attempts to troll the Maize and Blue.

Michigan football takes no prisoners, it seems, and against Penn State today, this trend very clearly continued. Earlier in the game, Penn State defender Dani Dennis-Sutton hit the Wolverines with a “sign-gate” celebration — one which was remembered by JJ McCarthy. Later in the game, Blake Corum put the finishing touches on Michigan’s win, and mocked Manny Diaz’s troll of the Wolverines from earlier this week.

If you liked it when Penn State players were using sign-gate celebrations, you probably didn’t like it when Michigan football quarterback JJ McCarthy hit the same celebration right back.

When Michigan football star running back Blake Corum punched in the game-sealing touchdown, he made sure to hit the Manny Diaz celebration. Earlier this week, Diaz mocked the Wolverines ahead of the game, and it’s clear that his sign-gate comments did not go unnoticed.

It’s unclear whether Michigan football will have Jim Harbaugh back for next Saturday’s game at Maryland, though if the Penn State game was any indication, it really might not matter that much.
