The Maize and Blue are coming off a solid season-opening victory over the East Carolina Pirates last weekend. As the Wolverines turn the page to Week 2 of the coming season, Michigan football legend Tom Brady — who is regarded as the greatest football player of all time — made a bold prediction. Brady thinks that Michigan is going to win the national championship this season, which is a feat that the program has not accomplished since the 1997 season when Brady was a backup QB.

Tom Brady, who was a part of the Wolverines’ 1997 national championship team and led the Wolverines to a 19-5 overall record with a Big Ten title and more during his college days, is high on this year’s team. After the Maize and Blue downed ECU by 27 points last weekend, the Michigan football legend made a bold prediction for the Wolverines to win it all.

“Look guys, I hate to ruin this for everyone else, but this is Michigan’s year,” Michigan football legend Tom Brady said on FOX Big Noon Kickoff. “(Michigan football) is coming off two back-to-back Big Ten titles, two-straight Ohio State beatdowns … Coach Harbaugh has got all of his key pieces back — he has got a blue-chip quarterback in JJ McCarthy, a two-headed monster in the backfield (Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards), and we’ve got a loaded defense.

“The winningest program in college football history is ready to go and make another national championship run — we’ve got this, let’s go, GO BLUE!”

Right now, Michigan football is ranked as the No. 2 team in the nation, only behind the reigning national champions (Georgia). Throughout the coming months, we will get to see if Tom Brady is right about the 2023 Wolverines as the team pushes for another Big Ten title, CFP berth, and finally, a national championship.
