The Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans find themselves among the final nine schools vying for the commitment of a highly regarded recruit from Ohio. Today, William Satterwhite, a prominent four-star Ohio recruit in the 2024 class, unveiled his list of nine finalists, which includes notable Big Ten programs like Michigan football, Michigan State, Penn State, and others.

Satterwhite is attracting significant attention from major programs nationwide, with schools such as Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and others also making his top nine. This development carries immense significance for the Wolverines, who currently possess the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class. However, it once again sets up a recruiting showdown between Jim Harbaugh, James Franklin, and Mel Tucker.

William Satterwhite, a highly sought-after four-star offensive line prospect, has garnered significant attention from numerous top-tier regional and national programs. Michigan football recruiting has shown remarkable success in luring some of Ohio’s most talented recruits, and they undoubtedly aim to continue this trend throughout the summer.

Today, Satterwhite unveiled his top nine remaining programs in his recruitment, and it includes notable figures such as Jim Harbaugh, Mel Tucker, and James Franklin, alongside a few SEC programs and others.

As a consensus four-star offensive lineman, Satterwhite holds an impressive standing in the 247 Sports composite rankings. He currently ranks as the No. 165 recruit in the 2024 class, the No. 11 offensive lineman, and the No. 6 prospect in Ohio. At present, Penn State appears to be leading the race for his commitment. However, with ample time remaining in the summer, the Wolverines have an opportunity to sway the tide in their favor. Their presence in his top nine is crucial, and as long as Michigan football remains dedicated to making up ground during the rest of the offseason, they have a chance to secure his commitment.
