Michigan football: new four-star commitment expected on Friday

This Friday, the Wolverines’ are expected to land another major commitment in the 2024 class. Michigan football already boats an elite class, which is ranked in the top 3 among 2024 recruiting classes nationally. Recently, one of the top-ranked offensive tackles in the country, Andrew Sprague, announced his commitment day — it is set for Friday, April 7th — and will likely be wearing the Maize and Blue when it comes time to pick up a hat. Heading into the second weekend of April, a new four-star commitment is expected to come Jim Harbaugh’s way.

New four-star commitment is expected on Friday for the Michigan football team

Andrew Sprague is one of the top-ranked offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class, and is expected to be the next major recruit to choose Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football program has his college landing spot. Sprague is ranked as the No. 133 player in the 2024 recruiting class, the No. 12 offensive tackle in the class, and the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri (247) — he is a unanimous four-star recruit, and his 6-foot-8, 290-pound frame fits the mold that the Wolverines’ are looking for in a tackle.

So far, every outlet expects Michigan to land this four-star commitment this weekend — the Wolverines boast the best odds and have 100% of the crystal balls for his commitment.

“I put Michigan in my top 10 because of my relationship with Coach Moore, Harbaugh, and the rest of the staff,” Sprague told The Wolverine. “They won the Joe Moore Award 2 years in a row and I would love to be a part of winning that trophy.”

If Sprague does choose Michigan football at the end of this week, the Wolverines’ 2024 recruiting class will shoot up to 11 hard commits thus far, with nine of these commits being four-star commitments or better.
