There are a number of recruits that Michigan is trending for right now, such as Brian Robinson, Jadyn Davis, Aaron Chiles, and others. Currently, the Michigan Wolverines’ 2024 recruiting class ranks in the top-3 nationally and is the best class in the Big Ten. Thus far in the 2024 recruiting class, Michigan football has landed nine commitments, all but three of which are four-star prospects according to 247 Sports. As we get into the thick of spring ball and spring/summer recruiting, here are three top-tier recruits that are expected to end up in the Maize and Blue all said and done.

Michigan football favored to land 2024 five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis this week

At the end of this week, the Michigan football program is expected to land five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis out of North Carolina. Jadyn Davis is rated as a five-star quarterback and ranks as the No. 28 player in the 2024 recruiting class, the No. 2 quarterback in the cycle, and the No. 1 player in North Carolina. So far, a flurry of crystal balls have been placed for Jadyn Davis, and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives him 90.3% chance of committing to Michigan football at the end of the week.

Four-star EDGE Brian Robinson expected to go Maize and Blue by cycle’s end

Brian Robinson — a 6-foot-5, 258-pound edge rusher from Austintown Fitch High School in Austintown, OH — is another major recruit that is expected to go Maize and Blue by the end of the 2024 recruiting cycle. Robinson is rated as a four-star edge rusher by every outlet, and ranks as the No. 48 player in the 2024 recruiting class, the No. 11 edge rusher, and the No. 2 player in the state of Ohio according to ESPN. He currently has four crystal balls — all for Michigan football — and an 89.2% chance of committing to Michigan per On3.

Top-ranked player in Maryland (2024 recruiting class) leaning towards Michigan football right now

A name that many Michigan football fans are well-acquainted with by now is Aaron Chiles, the top-ranked player in Maryland for the 2024 recruiting class. Chiles is one of Michigan’s top targets in the 2024 recruiting class, and has been favored to commit to Michigan football for some time now — the Wolverines have 100% of Chiles’ crystal balls, and a 93.6% chance to land the elite linebacker according to On3. Right now, Chiles is rated as a four-star linebacker and ranks as the No. 120 player nationally, the No. 10 linebacker in the class, and the No. 1 player in his state.

Chiles also has high praise for the Michigan football program. “I’m glad that my whole family got a chance to come out,” Chiles told The Wolverine. “My whole family got a feel for Coach (Chris) Partridge, which was great. Meeting some new people and seeing some new faces was great, too. It was a fun time. My family loved it. My mom asked the coaches if they weren’t coaching there, if Michigan would still be a good fit for me, and they spoke highly of the school. It’s a family culture. The relationships became stronger. It was just a great time.”
