Ahead of a crucial College Football Playoff matchup, which pits a stingy Alabama football defense against a gritty Michigan football offense, Crimson Tide defender Terrion Arnold had a chance to comment on the Wolverines‘ ability. While Michigan is not a flashy program, Arnold notes that the Maize and Blue do several things incredibly well, especially when it comes to Blake Corum and Michigan’s rushing attack.

Alabama football star notes prowess of the Michigan football offense

This fall, as seen in years past, the Michigan football offense has been nothing too flashy — the Wolverines run the ball well, chew clock, and allow their star players to do what they do best: make plays. While the box scores have not always been anything too impressive, Alabama football defender Terrion Arnold, a former five-star defensive back, had a lot of praise leading up to Bama’s College Football Playoff bout against the Wolverines.

They run the ball really, really well,” said defensive back Terrion Arnold. “Effective with motion. They do a good job with eye candy, trying to get you to see different pictures and they change the picture and they do a very, very good job of running the ball effectively.”

Arnold also compared Michigan football quarterback JJ McCarthy, a junior Wolverine passer, to ex-LSU superstar Joe Burrow ahead of the CFP matchup — high praise, to say the least.

Considering that the Rose Bowl game will send one of these elite-caliber programs to the national title game, expect Alabama and Michigan to get into a slugfest in Pasadena. As Blake Corum reiterated to us this week, the Wolverines are all-in on their “natty or bust” mindset, so expect Michigan to stop at nothing as it looks to overcome Bama on New Year’s Day.
