With spring ball wrapping up, the spring game right around the corner, and more, there is a lot of news surrounding the Maize and Blue right now. Still, recruiting the next generation of great Michigan football players is essential, and that is exactly what Jim Harbaugh and his staff have been doing. With lots of massive recruiting news coming the Wolverines’ way as of late, UM fans have been pleasantly surprised in Michigan’s ability to bounce-back after signing a — for lack of a better term — forgettable 2023 class (on paper). On Wednesday, the top insider at 247 Sports placed a crystal ball for Michigan football to land four-star offensive tackle Andrew Sprague.

Michigan football the favorite to land four-star offensive tackle Andrew Sprague

According to 247 Sports, Andrew Sprague is a four-star offensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting class — he is ranked as the No. 160 player in the 2024 class, the No. 9 offensive tackle in his class, and the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri. He currently only has one crystal ball — it is for the Michigan football team, and was placed on Wednesday evening by top 247 Sports insider Steve Wiltfong.

If the crystal ball was not enough, the Wolverines also lead his recruitment according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives Jim Harbaugh’s program an 84.4% chance of landing him all said and done. The 2023 Michigan football recruiting class may have been a bit underwhelming, though the 2024 class already ranks in the top-3 nationally, and if the Wolverines can land Sprague, it will only continue to get better.
