The big day is here

Bobby Kanka signed with the University of Michigan football program during a ceremony Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024 at Howell High School.

National signing day is underway for the class of 2025. Michigan is close to a top five recruiting class, and almost everything will be official after Wednesday. There hasn’t been much in the surprise department, but there’s still time for moves to be made.

DB Jayden Sanders has yet to sign his paperwork, but it should only be a matter of time before he makes it official. TE Andrew Olesh is a different story, as he is set to make his decision on Friday with Oregon still in the hunt.

National Signing Day: Michigan Football

Below is a breakdown of every Michigan football signee:

Bryce Underwood – QB – Belleville (Belleville, MI)

Underwood, the No. 1 recruit in the country, flipped from LSU to the Wolverines just under two weeks ago. The dual-threat QB has the frame of an NFL player at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, and he completely changes the narrative around Michigan football for the next 3-4 years.

Elijah Dotson – DB – Belleville (Detroit, MI)

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, Dotson flipped his commitment from Pitt to Michigan two weeks ago. He is a four-star recruit and ranked as a top five player in his state across the board. Dotson was also an effective receiver throughout his high school career.

Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng – LB – IMG Academy (Manassas, VA)

A four-star recruit, Owusu-Boateng chose Michigan on Wednesday over USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and more. Standing at just over six feet tall and 200 pounds, Owusu-Boateng is a top 40 LB in the country.

Kainoa Winston – Safety – Gonzaga (Montgomery Village, MD)

Winston is listed just shy of 5-foot-11 and weighs in at 184 pounds. A four-star recruit, he is ranked as the fifth-best safety in the class by On3 and ESPN.

Kaden Strayhorn – IOL – IMG Academy (Novi, MI)

Strayhorn comes in at close to 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds. He will likely be a center for the Wolverines. Strayhorn is ranked as a top 75 player in the state of Florida on every platform with the exception of On3.

Holly is listed at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds. A four-star recruit, he is ranked as a top 42 player at his position across the board.
