Last fall, Michigan football running back Blake Corum rushed his way into the Wolverines’ record books, carrying his team to a perfect start to the season and more. Corum’s prowess as a rusher put him among the nation’s top Heisman candidates before a Week 12 injury sidelined him for essentially the remainder of the season. Now, heading into a new season, the Wolverines’ star ball carrier is “stronger than ever.”
Michigan football running back Blake Corum is in great shape heading into the new season
Blake Corum’s injury was terrifying for Michigan football fans during the 2022 season. Still, the Wolverines managed to take down Illinois and Ohio State before winning the Big Ten title and appearing in the CFP in Corum’s absence.
With the 2023 season fast approaching, Michigan football is poised to make another run for the playoffs and more, and with Corum’s knee healed up, he claims that he is feeling better and stronger than he ever has.
“To be honest, I’m feeling better than ever … This is the strongest I’ve ever been. Now, it’s just the get-back. I think about it all the time, what that first, initial hit is going to be like,” Blake Corum said, per MLive. “A lot of guys go low, so just making sure everything supporting my knee is great. Like I said, I’m stronger than ever — my quads, my hamstring, my calves, shins — everything is strong enough to support and be durable.”
Despite only appearing in 10.5 games last season, Michigan football running back Blake Corum rushed for nearly 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns. Now, with a revamped offensive line, an elite supporting cast, and much more, the Maize and Blue are poised for bigger and better things in the coming months.
