Michigan football: Social media reacts to Jim Harbaugh suspension

Today, it was reported that Jim Harbaugh, who is heading into his 9th season as the head coach of the Michigan football program, will likely miss the first four games of the 2023 season due to an NCAA-issued suspension. This suspension is over a single Level 1 violation — Harbaugh allegedly bought a recruit a hamburger a few years ago and claims he forgot who paid for it. Here is what social media is saying.

While Jim Harbaugh is likely to miss four games of the 2023 Michigan football season, his suspension will be up ahead of the first true test for the Wolverines — a Week 5 road matchup against Nebraska. While many believe these punishments from the NCAA to be ludicrous, they likely won’t impact Michigan’s season all that much.

The Jim Harbaugh suspension is said to be for four games this fall, meaning he is likely to miss September matchups against East Carolina, Bowling Green, UNLV, and Rutgers — all of these games will be played in Ann Arbor, MI. Other coaches, such as play-caller Sherrone Moore, are also facing punishment, such as a one-game suspension.
