The coming season remains a massive question mark-filled time for the Maize and Blue, who are losing tons of coaches and players following their 2023-24 national title run last year. Still, Michigan football star Colston Loveland — a tight end — is projected to be the No. 1 tight end in the country by Pro Football Focus.

Ever since his freshman season in 2022, Colston Loveland has been a major playmaker for Michigan football; however, he will have a new OC, a new quarterback, and much more during the 2024 season. Thus far, the two-time Big Ten Champion and one-time National Champion has caught 61 passes for nearly 900 yards and six touchdowns — four of which came during the Wolverines’ 2023 season.

This week, Pro Football Focus released its list of the top 10 tight ends nationally heading into the 2024 season. Below Loveland are two fellow Big Ten tight ends: Jack Velling (Michigan State, No. 8) and Luke Lachey (Iowa, No. 10).

Heading into year three in Ann Arbor, this Michigan football star is poised to be the best in the country, and the national media is taking note.
